Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting in South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang in June 2016 as many as 575 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in June 2016 decreased by 52.12 percent compared to May 2016.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in June 2016 reached an average of 48.95 percent, or decreased 9.23 points compared to the TPK of hotels in May 2016 of 58.18 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in June 2016 the ROR for one-star hotels reached 69.19 percent and was the highest ROR for hotels compared to other star-class hotels.

The average length of stay of foreign guests in June 2016 was 3.99 days, an increase of 1.07 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in May 2016. While the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in June 2016 decreased by 0.40 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in May 2016.
