Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting the South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in December 2015 was 1,166 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in December 2015 decreased by 5.05 percent compared to November 2015.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in December 2015 reached an average of 57.96 percent, or decreased by 2.17 points compared to the TPK of hotels in November 2015 of 60.13 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in December 2015 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 77.19 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in December 2015 was 2.39 days, a decrease of 1.67 days when compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in November 2015. While the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in December 2015 also decreased by 0.18 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in November 2015.
