Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting the South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in February 2015 was 801 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in February 2015 increased by 2.04 percent compared to January 2015.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in February 2015 reached an average of 54.79 percent, or up 7.88 points compared to the ROR of hotels in January 2015 of 46.91 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in February 2015 the ROR for three-star hotels reached 79.01 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.

The average length of stay of foreign guests in February 2015 was 7.23 days, an increase of 4.54 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in January 2015. The average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in February 2015 an increase of 0.31 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in January 2015.
