Abstract

In April 2013 South Sumatra's exports reached a value of US $ 371.77 million. The value of South Sumatra exports in April 2013 decreased by 3.50 percent compared to March 2013. However, when compared with the same period in 2012 (April 2012) exports of South Sumatra Province decreased by 4.03 percent.

The export value of South Sumatra Province in April 2013 was US $ 371.77 million, consisting of oil and gas exports of US $ 56.40 million and US $ 315.36 million from non-oil and gas commodity exports.

The United States, Malaysia and China are the main export destinations South Sumatra, during January - April 2013 respectively reached US $ 311.43 million, US $ 285.49 million and US $ 215.06 million, with the three roles reaching 57.33 percent of total exports in April 2013.

Exports to the European Union in January - April 2013 reached US $ 167.75 million (11.84 percent of total exports). Exports to the European Union have increased compared to the same period in 2012 which reached 153.66 million. While ASEAN exports reached US $ 324.17 million (22.89 percent of total exports) or decreased compared to the same period in 2012 with a value of US $ 370.56 million
