Abstract

The export value of South Sumatra Province in April 2011 increased by 10.64 percent compared to March 2011, from US $ 425.36 million to US $ 470.60 million.

The export value of South Sumatra Province in April 2011 was US $ 470.60 million consisting of oil and gas exports of US $ 33.94 million and US $ 436.66 million from non-oil and gas commodity exports. The value of non oil and gas exports in April 2011 increased by US $ 69.55 million from March 2011. Exports of 7 mainstay commodities increased in April 2011. The largest increase in the value of non oil and gas exports in April 2011 compared to March 2011 occurred in rubber commodities of US $ 49.52 million, followed by CPO commodity exports of US $ 7.63 million, and coffee of US $ 2.04 million.

South Sumatra's exports in April 2011 to the United States, China and Japan were the main destination countries, each reaching US $ 107.90 million, US $ 74.87 million and US $ 53.27 million, with the role of the three reaching 50.16 percent of total exports.

The loading port for commodity exports from South Sumatra in April 2011 was the main port of Boom Baru with a value of US $ 431.03 million, followed by the Port of Plaju at US $ 33.94 million.
