Abstract

Growth in Production of Large and Medium Manufacturing Industries in the fourth quarter of 2010, South Sumatra Province experienced a slowdown in growth to 3.92 percent compared to the previous quarter reached 9.45 percent. The slowing down of growth in the fourth quarter was due to the decline in growth from the type of food and beverage industry which reached -1.49 percent compared to the third quarter which reached 3.48 percent. In addition, the slowdown in growth is also caused by slowing growth in the type of rubber industry and goods from rubber and plastic goods in the fourth quarter to 8.40 percent compared to the third quarter which reached 8.99 percent. As for the type of chemical industry and goods from chemicals experienced an increase in growth in the fourth quarter to -0.75 percent compared to the third quarter which is -3.30 percent.
