Development of Consumer Price Index January 2025 Palembang City

In January 2025, Palembang City's Year-on-Year (y-on-y) inflation was 0.78 percent.

In January 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Palembang City will be 0.78 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.83.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.59 percent; health group by 1.26 percent; transportation group by 2.42 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.89 percent; education group by 2.00 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.88 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 7.46 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 7.71 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.99 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.06 percent. The clothing and footwear group did not experience an increase or decrease in the index.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Palembang City in January 2025 was 0.47 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Palembang City in January 2025 was 0.47 percent.
