Abstract

In December 2022, year on year (yoy) inflation for Palembang City was 5.95 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.89.

Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.04 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.27 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.45 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.23 percent; the health group by 2.46 percent; transportation group of 17.22 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 7.01 percent; the education group by 3.98 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.13 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 5.35 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.03 percent.
