In October 2022, year on year (yoy) inflation for Palembang City was 6.55 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.42. Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 8.41 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.14 percent; group, housing air, electricity, and household fuel by 2.72 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.53 percent; the health group by 2.51 percent; transportation group of 18.62 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 7.02 percent; the education group by 3.98 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.23 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 5.56 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.07 percent
