Abstract

In December 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Palembang City will be 1.24 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.33.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.30 percent; health group by 1.43 percent; transportation group by 1.63 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.74 percent; education group by 2.00 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.79 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 6.72 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 0.02 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.01 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.05 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.06 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Palembang City in December 2024 was 0.42 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Palembang City in December 2024 was 1.24 percent.
