Abstract

  • The value of South Sumatra exports in October 2015 decreased by 4.28 percent compared to September 2015. Likewise, when compared with the same period in 2014 (October2014) the exports of South Sumatra Province experienced a decrease of 35.18 percent
  • The export value of South Sumatra Province in October 2015 was US $ 181.49 million consisting of oil and gas exports of US $ 23.04 million and US $ 158.45 million from non-oil and gas commodity exports.
  • Malaysia, the United States and India became the main export destination countries of South Sumatra in the period January - October 2015, each reaching US $ 452.38 million, US $ 343.79 million and US $ 191.93 million, with the roles of the three reaching 46 , 03 percent of total exports for the period January - October 2015.
  • Exports to the European Union in January - October 2015 reached US $ 263.62 million (12.28 percent of total exports) and exports to ASEAN which reached US $ 561.50 million (26.15 percent of total exports).
  • According to the Sector, when compared with the period January-October 2014, exports of agricultural, industrial and mining productsJanuary-October 2015 decreased respectively 4.63 percent, 14.40 percent and 11.16 percent.
