Abstract

The value of South Sumatra exports in July 2015 decreased by 9.93 percent compared to June 2015. Likewise, when compared with the same period in 2014 (July 2014) the exports of South Sumatra Province decreased by 19.04 percent.

The export value of South Sumatra Province in July 2015 was US $ 196.93 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 26.40 million and US $ 170.52 million from non-oil and gas commodity exports.

Malaysia, the United States and India became the main destination countries for South Sumatra exports in the period January - July 2015, each reaching US $ 351.88 million, US $ 241.26 million and US $ 152.86 million, with the roles of the three reaching 48 , 01 percent of total exports for the period January - July 2015.

Exports to the European Union in January - July 2015 reached US $ 182.97 million (11.78 percent of total exports) and exports to ASEAN reached US $ 425.22 million (27.37 percent of total exports).

According to the Sector, compared to the January-July 2014 period, exports of agricultural, industrial and mining products from January to July 2015 decreased by 2.97 percent, 15.87 percent and 0.22 percent, respectively.
