Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang in August 2015 as many as 877 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in August 2015 increased by 27.84 percent compared to July 2015.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in August 2015 reached an average of 55.84 percent, up 10.95 points compared to the TPK of star hotels in July 2015 of 44.89 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classifications, it turns out that in August 2015 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 62.81 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in August 2015 was 2.46 days, an increase of 0.51 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in July 2015. While the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in August 2015 also increased by 0.56 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in July 2015.
