Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists visiting the South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in May 2015 was 458 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in May 2015 decreased by 33.43 percent compared to April 2015.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in May 2015 reached an average of 47.26 percent, or down 3.52 points compared to the ROR of hotels in April 2015 of 50.78 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in May 2015 the ROR for three-star hotels reached 61.66 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in May 2015 was 3.37 days, decreased by 1.15 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in April 2015. While the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in May 2015 also increased by 0.15 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in April 2015.
