Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in July 2014 was 102.77 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in July 2014 was better than the base year of 2012. When compared to the previous month, the July 2014 NTP increased by 0.85 percent due to an increase in the price index received by farmers is higher than the increase in the price index paid by farmers.
  • Agriculture Exchange (NTUP) of South Sumatra in July 2014 was 106.79 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in July 2014 was better than the base year of 2012. When compared to the previous month, NTUP in July 2014 increased by 1.26 percent.
  • FTT Without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in July 2014 was 102.78 percent, indicating that in general farmers purchasing power in July 2014 was better than the base year of 2012. When compared to the previous month, FTT without fishery in July 2014 increased by 0 , 85 percent.
  • NTUP Without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in July 2014 amounted to 106.82 percent, compared to the previous month NTUP in July increased by 1.26 percent.
  • Based on the NTP sector, in July 2014 the NTP of the food crops, horticulture, plantation, livestock, and fisheries sectors experienced an increase compared to the previous month, each increasing by 0.21; 0.28; 1.36; 0.72; 0.85 percent.
  • NTUP in the food crops, horticulture, estate crops, animal husbandry, and fisheries sectors that experienced an increase compared to the previous month, each increasing by 0.62; 0.76; 1.80; 0.96; and 1.28 percent.
  • Rural inflation / deflation is shown by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farm households. In July 2014, rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.92 percent. Inflation was mainly due to an increase in prices in the foodstuffs sub-group which experienced inflation of 1.43 percent
