Abstract

The export value of South Sumatra Province in December 2012 amounted to US $ 319.07 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 44.37 million and US $ 274.69 million from non-oil commodity exports

The United States, Malaysia and China are still the main destination countries for South Sumatra's exports, during January - December 2012 reaching US $ 918.43 million, US $ 869.93 million and US $ 860.73 million, respectively, with the roles of the three reaching 60.60 percent of total exports in January-December 2012.

Exports to the European Union in January - December 2012 reached US $ 476.15 million (10.89 percent of total exports). Exports to the European Union have decreased compared to the same period in 2011 which reached 729.56 million. While ASEAN exports reached US $ 974.09 Million (22.28 percent of total exports) or increased compared to the same period in 2011 with a value of US $ 887.64 million.
