Abstract

South Sumatra province's rice production in April 2012 was 228,612.46 tons, from milled rice in the rice milling industry as much as 373,229.73 tons. The highest rice production is in Ogan Ilir district, which is 99,771.64 tons, from 159,716.04 tons of milled rice. Rice production is the least in the city of Prabumulih, which is 2.98 tons of milled rice as much as 5.15 tons.

South Sumatra province's rice production in May 2011-April 2012 was 1,246,673.39 tons, from paddy milled in the rice milling industry as much as 1,926,189.92 tons. The highest rice production is in Ogan Ilir district, which is 595,907.44 tons, from 860,770.10 tons of milled rice. Rice production is the least in the city of Prabumulih, which is as much as 30.05 tons of milled grain as much as 47.15 tons.

The population of the rice milling industry is 9,087 companies / businesses, consisting of 8,744 companies / businesses of permanent rice milling and as many as 343 companies / businesses of the rice milling industry. The largest population of rice milling industry is in Banyuasin district, which is 2,198 companies and the least population is in the city of Prabumulih, which is 11 companies / businesses.
