RICE PRODUCTION, CORN, AND SOUTH SUMATERA SOYBEAN (FORECAST II NUMBER 2012)

Abstract

• Estimated rice production based on forecast figures (Aramaic) II in 2012 amounted to 3.48 million tons of Grinded Dry Grain (GKG) up about 94.59 thousand tons (2.79 percent) compared to 2011. The increase in production was caused by an increase in harvested area of ​​2 , 43 thousand ha (0.31 percent) and productivity increased by 1.07 ku / ha (2.48 percent).

• Estimated corn production based on forecast figures (Aramaic) II in 2012 amounted to 112.29 thousand tons of dry shelled, down by 13.40 thousand tons (10.66 percent) compared to 2011. The decline in production was caused by a decrease in harvested area of ​​4.61 thousand ha (13.99 percent), while productivity has increased by 1.47 ku / ha (3.86 percent).

• Estimated soybean production based on forecast figures (Aramaic) II in 2012 amounted to 11.71 thousand tons of dry beans, down by 1.99 thousand tons (14.57 percent) from 2011 production. The decline in production was caused by a decrease in harvested area of ​​1.23 thousand ha (14.15 percent), and decreased productivity by 0.07 ku / ha (0.44 percent).
