Human Development Index of Palembang Municipality 2022

Within a decade, human development in Palembang City has continued to progress. Palembang City HDI increased from 74.74 in 2012 to 79.47 in 2022. During this period, Palembang City HDI grew by an average of 0.62 percent per year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought little change in the human development achievements of Palembang City. The HDI for Palembang City in 2020 was recorded at 78.33, a decrease compared to the HDI for 2019. However, after more than a year after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the HDI for Palembang City rose again in 2021.
