Abstract

In August 2022, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Selatan through the entrance to Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin Airport (SMB) II Palembang was recorded at only 4 visits.

The room occupancy rate (TPK) for star hotels in August 2022 was 50.86 percent, a decrease of 4.29 points compared to the previous month's TPK which was recorded at 55.15 percent. Meanwhile, the TPK for non-star hotels for August 2022 was recorded at 20.87 percent.

The highest ROR for star hotels in August 2022 occurred in 3-star hotels, which was 57.39 percent and the lowest was in 2-star hotels, which was 40.25 percent.

The average length of stay of guests at star hotels in August 2022 reached 1.56 days, a decrease of 0.10 points compared to July 2022 which was recorded at 1.66 days.

The average length of stay of foreign guests at star hotels in August 2022 is higher than the average length of stay of Indonesian guests.
