Abstract
1. Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in December 2016 of 95.45 percent, indicating that generally the purchasing power of farmers in December 2016 still decreased compared to the base year of 2012. However, compared to the previous month, NTP December 2016 experienced an increase By 0.63 percent due to the increase in the price index received by farmers is relatively higher compared with the increase in the price index paid by farmers.
2. Sumatera Agricultural Trade Rate (NTUP) in December 2016 was 104.21 percent, indicating that generally the purchasing power of farmers in December 2016 is better than the base year of 2012. And when compared to the previous month, NTUP December 2016 rose By 1.12 percent.
3. NTP Without the Fisheries Sector of South Sumatera in December 2016 of 95.39 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in December increased compared to the base year 2012. Similarly, compared to the previous month, NTP without fisheries December 2016 increased by 0.66 percent.
4. NTUP Without Fishery Sector of South Sumatera in December 2016 was 104.08 percent, indicating that generally the purchasing power of farmers in December 2016 is better than the base year of 2012. And when compared to the previous month, NTUP December 2016 also experienced an increase of 1.16 percent.
5. Based on the NTP subsector, in December 2016 NTP subsectors increased compared to November 2016 namely Horticulture, Smallholder, Capture Fisheries while other subsectors decreased.
6. Based on NTUP subsector, in December 2016 almost all NTUP sub-sectors experienced an increase compared to November 2016 and only the sub-sector of Livestock and Aquaculture which decreased.
7. Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farm households. In December 2016 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.72 percent. Where all expenditure groups experienced inflation, except the deflated transportation and communication expenditure groups.
