IBS South Sumatra production growth in the third quarter of 2016 amounted to 1.27 percent, down compared to growth in the previous quarter of 3.85 percent

Abstract

The growth of South Sumatra's Large Medium Manufacturing Industry (IBS) in the Third Quarter of 2016 was 1.27 percent, down from the previous quarter's growth of 3.85 percent.

Of the five IBS production in South Sumatra, two types of IBS have increased growth while the other three have decreased. The highest increase occurred in the Food Industry by 20.51 percent while the lowest increase occurred in the Paper and Paper Industry Industry by minus 7.92 percent.

The decline in IBS production growth in South Sumatra during the third quarter of 2016 is in line with the decline in the growth of the National IBS, from 3.54 percent in the second quarter to 0.89 percent in the third quarter of 2016.

Production of the South Sumatra Micro Small Manufacturing Industry (IMK) in the Third Quarter of 2016 grew by 1.48 percent, down 2.62 percent compared to the previous quarter's growth of 4.10 percent.

The highest production growth occurred in the YTDL Machinery and Equipment Industry by 11.99 percent, while the lowest production growth occurred in the Apparel Industry by minus 15.75 percent.

In the third quarter of 2016, IMK production growth in South Sumatra was still higher than the national growth which decreased by minus 2.06 percent.
