Abstract

The value of ITK in South Sumatra Province in the fourth quarter of 2015 was 100.35, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter but with a level of consumer optimism lower than the quarter III-2015 (ITK value of 107.31).

The improvement in consumer economic conditions was driven by the low influence of inflation on consumption levels and the increase in consumption of food and non-food commodities.

Economic conditions in the first quarter of 2016 are estimated at 104.07, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers are expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is expected to be higher than quarter IV-2015.

The improvement in consumer economic conditions in the first quarter of 2016 is estimated due to an increase in income.
