Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang in July 2015 amounted to 686 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in July 2015 increased by 41.74 percent compared to June 2015.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in July 2015 reached an average of 44.89 percent, down 6.12 points compared to the TPK of hotels in June 2015 of 51.01 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in July 2015 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 66.29 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in July 2015 was 1.95 days, a decrease of 3.15 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in June 2015. While the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in July 2015 decreased 1.38 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in June 2015.
