Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists visiting the South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in April 2015 was 688 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in April 2015 decreased by 9.95 percent compared to March 2015.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in April 2015 reached an average of 50.78 percent, down 4.62 points compared to the ROR of hotels in March 2015 of 55.40 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classifications, it turns out that in April 2015 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 65.53 percent and was the highest ROR for hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in April 2015 was 4.52 days, an increase of 1.18 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in March 2015. The average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in April 2015 also increased by 0.09 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in March 2015.
