Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting in South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in March 2015 was 764 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in March 2015 decreased by 4.62 percent compared to February 2015.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in March 2015 reached an average of 55.40 percent, up 0.61 points compared to the ROR of hotels in February 2015 of 54.79 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in March 2015 the ROR for three-star hotels reached 69.31 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in March 2015 was 3.34 days, a decrease of 3.89 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in February 2015. The average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in March 2015 also decreased by 0.24 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in February 2015.
