Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in June 2014 was 1,019 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in June 2014 decreased by 13.28 percent compared to May 2014.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in June 2014 reached an average of 48.33 percent, or up 2.20 points compared to the ROR of hotels in May 2014 of 46.13 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classifications, it turns out that in June 2014 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 72.60 percent and was the highest ROR of hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at star hotels in South Sumatra in June 2014 reached 1.93 days, an increase of 0.01 days compared to the average length of stay of guests in May 2014. The average length of stay of foreign guests in June 2014 it also increased by 0.19 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in May 2014.
