  • The number of foreign tourists visiting the South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in October 2013 was 833 people. The number of foreign tourists coming to South Sumatra in October 2013 experienced a substantial decline of 32.88 percent compared to September 2013.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in October 2013 reached an average of 52.91 percent, down 2.91 points compared to the TPK of hotels in September 2013 amounted to 55.82 percent.
  • The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at five-star hotels in South Sumatra in October 2013 reached 1.70 days, a decrease of 0.23 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests in September 2013.
