Abstract

Sumatera Selatan’s economy based on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2024 reached IDR156.83 trillion and at constant prices (2010) reached IDR91 trillion.
Sumatera Selatan’s economy in the first quarter of 2024 grew by 0.02 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). From the production side, agriculture, forestry and fishery experienced the highest growth at 9.43 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, Consumption Expenditures of Non-Profit Institutions that serve Households component experienced the highest growth at 11.50 percent.
Sumatera Selatan’s economy grew by 5.06 percent in the first quarter of 2024, compared to the forth quarter in 2023 (y-on-y). From production side, Financial and Insurance Activities experienced the highest growth at 10.17 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, Consumption Expenditures of Non-Profit Institutions that serve Households experienced the highest growth at 20.41 percent.
