Sumatera Selatan's Economy in 2022 Grows 5.23 Percent

Abstract

The economy of Sumatera Selatan Province in 2022 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reaches IDR 591.60 trillion and at constant 2010 prices it reaches IDR 343.48 trillion.
Sumatera Selatan Province's economy in 2022 will grow 5.23 percent. From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision business field by 14.67 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, it was mainly driven by the Foreign Export Component which grew by 41.57 percent.
The economy of the Sumatera Selatan Province in the fourth quarter of 2022 against the fourth quarter of 2021 experienced a growth of 5.23 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the Accommodation Provision Business Field experienced the highest growth of 13.17 percent. From the Expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Foreign Export Component, which was 32.99 percent.
The economy of the Sumatera Selatan Province in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter experienced a growth contraction of 1.74 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Business Fields experienced the deepest contraction of 12.56 percent. Meanwhile, from the Expenditure side, the Foreign Export Component experienced a contraction of 16.15 percent
