Abstract
Export
The
export value of Sumatra Selatan in September 2021 reached US$485.98 million, up
3.62 percent compared to exports in August 2021. Compared to September 2020,
the export value rose quite significantly by 70.19 percent.
Non-oil
and gas exports in September 2021 reached US$485.98 million, up 5.92 percent
compared to August 2021. Compared to September 2020, non-oil and gas exports
rose quite significantly by 78.60 percent.
Cumulatively,
the export value of Sumatra Selatan from January to September 2021 reached
US$3,707.10 million, an increase of 43.98 percent compared to the same period
in 2020, as well as non-oil and gas exports reaching US$3,627.96, an increase
of 49.08 percent.
The
largest increase in non-oil and gas exports occurred in mineral fuels (coal and
lignite) of US$31.34 million (18.40 percent), while the largest decrease in
non-oil and gas exports in September 2021 compared to August 2021 occurred in
Animal/Vegetable Fats and Oils of US$11.78. million (34.12 percent).
By
sector, non-oil and gas exports of mining products from January to September
2021 rose by 135.42 percent compared to the same period in 2020, as well as
exports of agricultural products rose 37.96 percent and exports of industrial
products rose 29.49 percent.
The
largest export in September 2021 was to China, which was US$229.47 million,
followed by the United States at US$39.10 million and to Malaysia at US$27.38
million, with the contribution of the three reaching 60.90 percent. Meanwhile,
exports to ASEAN and the European Union (27 countries) amounted to US$81.25
million and US$29.79 million, respectively.
Cumulatively, the largest export value of Sumatra Selatan from January to September 2021 was aimed at China, the United States and Malaysia, with a value of US$1,368.32 million, US$357.10 million and US$240.43 million, respectively.
Import
The
import value of Sumatra Selatan in September 2021 reached US$56.30 million,
down 17.51percent compared to August 2021 and down 37.48 percent compared to
September 2020.
Oil
and gas imports in September 2021 were valued at US$3.43 million, up 68.36
percent compared to August 2021 and up 58.92 percent compared to September
2020.
Non-oil
and gas imports in September 2021 were valued at US$52.87 million, down 20.15
percent compared to August 2021 and down 39.84 percent compared to September
2020.
The
largest decline in imports of non-oil and gas goods in September 2021 compared
to August 2021 was iron and steel goods, which fell by US$6.66 million (96.39
percent). Meanwhile, the biggest increase was machinery and mechanical
equipment and its parts, which increased by US$6.02 million (25.13 percent).
The
three largest suppliers of imported goods during January-September 2021 were
China US$421.04 million (66.23 percent), Malaysia US$22.94 million (3.61
percent), and Vietnam US$17.44 million (2.74 percent). ). Imports from ASEAN
were US$77.17 million (12.14 percent) and the European Union US$26.25 million
(4.13 percent).
According
to the category of use of goods, the value of imports from January to September
2021 against the same period the previous year saw an increase in consumption
goods of US$4.29 million (92.08 percent), raw/auxiliary materials US$105.59
million (46.34 percent), while capital goods fell by US$11.12 million (3.65
percent).
Sumatra
Selatan's trade balance in September 2021 experienced a surplus of US$426.69
million from the non-oil and gas sector of US$433.11 million, while the oil and
gas sector experienced a deficit of US$3.43 million.
