Abstract

  • The increase in NTP in May 2021 was influenced by the increase in NTP in the Plantation sub-sector which was 0.44 percent, Livestock 1.65 percent, Fisheries in general 0.89 percent, Capture Fisheries 0.87 percent and 0.92 percent aquaculture. Meanwhile, other sub-sectors that experienced a decline were Food Crops by 1.14 percent and Horticulture by 1.86 percent.
  • In May 2021, in South Sumatra, there was a rural inflation of 0.44 percent caused by an increase in the average price index in most expenditure groups which rose respectively: the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group which rose by 0.52 percent, Clothing and Footwear 1.68 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel 0.35 percent, Equipment, Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance 0.06 percent, health 0.11 percent, Recreation, Sports and Culture 0.22 percent and Personal Care and Other Services 0.14 percent. Meanwhile, for the group that experienced a decline, namely Transportation, which fell by 0.03 percent. For the Information, Communication and Financial Services, Education and Food and Beverage/Restaurant provision groups, there is no change.
  • In May 2021, there was an increase in NTUP of 0.47 percent. This happened because the average IT increased by 0.48 percent, while the average BPPBM index price only increased by 0.02 percent. The increase in NTUP was caused by an increase in NTUP in almost all sub-sectors, including the Plantation sector by 0.83 percent, Livestock 1.81 percent, Fisheries in general 1.04 percent, Capture Fisheries 1.00 percent and Aquaculture 1.08 percent. Meanwhile, the sub-sectors that experienced a decline were Food Crops by 0.89 percent and Horticulture by 1.50 percent.
