Abstract
Farmers' Exchange Rate of South
Sumatra Province in May 2019 was recorded at 91.52 or decreased by 0.26 percent
compared to the previous month's NTP, a decrease in this NTP affected by the
Farmer Accepted Price Index (It) which increased by 0.47 percent, more low
compared to Ib increase which increased by 0.73 percent.
The decline in Farmer Exchange
Rates in May 2019 was influenced by the decline in NTP in the food crop
sub-sector which was quite large at 2.40 percent. While the NTP in other
subsectors experienced increases, namely: horticulture 1.45 percent, plantation
0.12 percent, livestock 1.33 percent, fisheries in general 0.63 percent,
fisheries 0.64 percent and aquaculture 0, 62 percent.
In May 2019, in South Sumatra
there was a rural inflation of 1.02 percent caused by an increase in the index
in all groups, each rising by: foodstuffs 1.84 percent, processed food,
beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.30 percent, housing 0.14 percent, clothing
0.87 percent, health 0.18 percent, education, recreation and sports 0.08
percent and transportation and communication 0.34 percent.
The exchange rate of Agriculture
Household Business (NTUP) in South Sumatra in May 2019 was 98.92 or decreased
by 0.47 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
