Abstract

  • Economy of South Sumatra Province in quarter I-2019 grew 5.68 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Business Field of Provision of Accommodation and Drinking Food which grew by 16.81 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Non-Profit Institution Consumption Component serving Households (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 13.93 percent.
  • Economy of South Sumatra Province quarter I-2019 compared to the previous quarter grew by 0.63 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Field which grew by 10.89 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the PK-LNPRT component grew by 2.36 percent.
  • The economic structure of South Sumatra Province quarter I-2019 from the production side is dominated by Mining and Excavation Businesses of 20.33 percent; followed by Processing Industry Business Fields at 19.61 percent and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Fields at 14.61 percent. While in terms of expenditure, it was dominated by Components of Household Consumption Expenditures (PK-RT) of 67.05 percent; followed by successive Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) of 34.17 percent; and Foreign Exports of 13.12 percent.
