Abstract
Village Potential Data Collection (Podes)
is carried out three (3) times in ten (10) years. Based on the 2018 Podes
results, there were 3,262 government administration areas at the village level
consisting of 2,876 villages and 386 villages. Podes also recorded 237
sub-districts and 17 districts / cities.
BPS calculates the Village Development Index (IPD) which shows the level of development of the village in the category of lagging, developing, and independent. The higher the IPD, the more independent the village is. The number of independent villages is 54 villages (1.88 percent), 2,474 developing villages (86.02 percent), and 348 villages left behind (12.1 percent).
There are 389 (12.12 percent) villages / kelurahan that have a very strong signal, 1,687 (52.57 percent) villages have strong signals, 1,133 (35.31 percent) villages / kelurahan have weak signals, and 53 (1.65 percent) villages / kelurahan that have no signal.
Average IPD for Transportation Dimensions 78.33, Dimensions of Organizing Village Government 70.34, Basic Service Dimensions 55.25, Dimensions of Public Services 57.49, and Dimensions of Infrastructure Conditions 44.72.
