Abstract

The value of ITK in South Sumatra Province in the third quarter of 2016 was 110.85, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter. The level of consumer optimism in the third quarter of 2016 was higher than in the second quarter of 2016, which only reached 108.05.

The improvement in consumer economic conditions in the third quarter of 2016 was mainly driven by rising consumption levels (index value of 115.35), followed by increased purchasing power as seen from the index of the effect of inflation on consumption levels (index value of 114.92). While the increase in household income is not as high as other components (index value of 106.80).
