Abstract

  • The growth of South Sumatra's Large Medium Manufacturing Industry (IBS) in the first quarter of 2016 was minus 3.92 percent, far lower than the growth in the fourth quarter of 2015 of 0.93 percent.
  • All IBS production in South Sumatra experienced negative growth during the First Quarter of 2016 with the lowest growth occurring in the Food Industry of minus 4.08 percent.
  • Nationally, IBS production growth in Quarter I 2016 also experienced a slowdown of minus 1.34 percent.
  • The production of South Sumatra's Small Micro Manufacturing Industry (IMK) in the first quarter of 2016 grew by 3.29 percent, slightly lower than the previous quarter's growth of 5.24 percent.
  • The highest production growth occurred in the Other Transport Equipment Industry of 12.52 percent, while the lowest production growth occurred in the Beverage Industry of minus 4.87 percent.
  • South Sumatra's IMK production growth in the first quarter of 2016 was still higher than the national growth of 0.76 percent
