Abstract

The value of ITK in South Sumatra Province in the third quarter of 2014 was 112.65, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter. This level of consumer optimism is higher than in the second quarter of 2014 (ITK value of 107.74).

The improvement in consumer economic conditions was driven by rising household incomes, the low influence of inflation on consumption levels and rising consumption of food and non-food commodities
