Abstract

The value of ITK in South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2013 was 108.06, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter. The level of consumer optimism is higher than in the first quarter of 2013 (ITK value of 105.56).

The improvement in consumer economic conditions was driven by rising household incomes, the low influence of inflation on consumption levels and rising consumption of food and non-food commodities.
