GROWTH OF MANUFACTURING AND MANUFACTURING GROWTH ONGOING AND GROWTH OF MICRO AND INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION SMALL QUARTER III OF 2012 SOUTH SUMATERA

Production growth of the Large Medium Manufacturing Industry of South Sumatra in the third quarter of 2012 rose by 4.53 percent (q-to-q) from the second quarter of 2012. Production growth in this quarter was much higher than the growth in the previous quarter which was 3.36 percent .

• Growth in production of the Large Medium Manufacturing Industry from year to year III (y-on-y) grew by 5.79 percent.

• The type of IBS that experienced the highest increase in the third quarter of 2012 (q-to-q) was the Food Industry by 7.18 percent. While the types of industries that experienced the largest decline were the Rubber Industry, Rubber and Plastic Goods by 0.11 percent.

• The growth of National Manufacturing of Large and Medium Manufacturing in the third quarter of 2012 rose by 2.06 percent (q-to-q) from the second quarter of 2012.

• South Sumatra's Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry Production Growth in the third quarter of 2012 rose by 2.01 percent (q-to-q) from the second quarter of 2012. This increase was supported by the Food Industry, Machinery and Equipment Industry as well as the Furniture Industry which experienced growth above ten percent.

• South Sumatra Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry Growth in Quarter III 2012 increased by 8.89 percent (y-on-y). The types of industries that experienced the largest growth were the Machine and Equipment Industry and the Furniture Industry, respectively 57.94 percent and 36.61 percent.
