Abstract

South Sumatra Exports in February 2012 amounted to US $ 347.49 million. Export value South Sumatra in February 2012 experienced an increase of 10.26 percent compared to January 2012. However, when compared with February 2011 South Sumatra Province exports decreased by 15.08 percent.

The value of non-oil and gas exports in South Sumatra in February 2012 is still dominated by rubber commodities which reached a value of US $ 221.10 million, followed by coal of US $ 18.98 million, and wood / wood products of US $ 2.50 million.

The United States, Malaysia and China are the main export destinations South Sumatra in February 2012 each reached US $ 89.10 million, US $ 71.09 million and US $ 63.16 million, with the roles of the three reaching 64.27 percent of total exports.

Exports to the European Union in February 2012 reached US $ 30.90 million (8.89 percent of total exports). Exports to the European Union decreased by US 4.39 million compared to January 2012.
