Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) * South Sumatra in December 2011 was 109.87 percent, indicated that in general the purchasing power of farmers in December 2011 was better than the base year 2007. If compared to the previous month, the December 2011 NTP rose by 0.18 percent, which was due an increase in the price index received by farmers in general is greater with an increase in the price index paid the farmer.
  • NTP Padi & Palawija in South Sumatra in December 2011 amounted to 123.00 percent, indicating that paddy and palawija farmers are relatively prosperous compared to the 2007 base year. When compared to the month previously, the NTP of rice and crops in December 2011 rose by 0.71 percent.
  • Horticulture NTP in December 2011 was 116.52 percent, meaning the level of welfare of farmers horticulture is better than the 2007 base year. When compared to the previous month, NTP December horticulture rose by 0.57 percent.
  • The NTP of People's Plantation Plantations (Planters) in South Sumatra in December 2011 was 91.95 percent, indicating that planters in South Sumatra are still experiencing a deficit. When compared to the previous month, the exchange rate of planters in December 2011 decreased 0.79 percent.
  • Farmer Exchange Rates in South Sumatra in December 2011 amounted to 104.60 percent, indicated that the welfare level of farmers is relatively better compared to the base year 2007. However, if compared to the previous month, the farmer's exchange rate decreased by 0.19 percent.
  • The Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) in South Sumatra in December 2011 was 116.19 percent. When compared to the previous month, the fisherman exchange rate rose by 0.05 percent.
  • Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by households the farmer. In December 2011 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced a deflation of 0.02 percent, mainly due to the decrease in the price index of the foodstuff and clothing group respectively by 0.18 and 0.13 percent
