Abstract

A. RICE

  • Rice production in 2010 (Fixed Figures) was 3.27 million tons of dry unhusked rice (GKG), an increase of 147.22 thousand tons (4.71 percent) compared to 2009. The increase in production was due to an increase in harvested area and productivity, respectively -with an increase of 23.01 thousand hectares (3.08 percent) and 0.66 quintal / hectare (1.58 percent).
  • Rice production in 2011 (Forecast Number II) is estimated to reach 3.36 million tons of MPD, up by 90.93 thousand tons (2.78 percent) compared to 2010. Increased production is expected due to an increase in harvested area of ​​96 hectares (0.01 percent) and increased productivity by 1.17 quintal / hectare (2.75 percent).
B. Corn
  • Corn production in 2010 (Fixed figure) was 125.80 thousand tons of dry shelled, up by 12.63 thousand tons (11.16 percent) compared to 2009. The increase in production was due to an increase in productivity which reached 1.54 quintal / hectare ( 4.31 percent), while the harvested area increased by 2.08 thousand hectares (6.55 percent).
  • Corn production in 2011 (Forecast Figures II) is estimated at 133.36 thousand tons dry shelled, up by 7.56 thousand tons (6.01 percent) compared to 2010. The increase in corn production is expected due to the relatively large increase in harvested area , reaching 1.31 thousand hectares (3.88 percent) and corn productivity increased by 0.77 quintal / hectare (2.07 percent).
C. Soy
  • Soybean production in 2010 (Fixed Figures) was 11.66 thousand tons of dry beans, down by 2.04 thousand tons (14.87 percent) compared to 2009. The decline in production was caused by a decrease in harvested area of ​​1.64 thousand hectares (17 , 84 percent), while productivity increased by 0.54 quintal / hectare (3.61 percent).
  • Soybean production in 2011 (Forecast Figures II) was 14.13 thousand tons of dry beans, up 2.47 thousand tons (21.14 percent) compared to 2010. The increase in production was caused by an increase in harvested area and productivity by 1, 43 thousand hectares (18.96 percent) and 0.28 quintal / hectare (1.81 percent).
