Abstract

The export value of South Sumatra Province in December 2010 increased by 4.33 percent compared to November 2010, from US $ 382.86 million to US $ 399.43 million.

The export value of South Sumatra Province in December 2010 was US $ 399.43 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounted to US $ 61.68 million, and US $ 337.76 million from non-oil commodity exports. Export value non oil and gas in December 2010 decreased by US $ 6.22 million from November 2010. The biggest decline in the value of non-oil exports in December 2010 against November 2010 occurred in wood and shrimp commodities each with US $ 0.30 million.

South Sumatra exports in December 2010 to the United States, Malaysia and China are the main destination countries, each reaching US $ 86.23 million, US $ 75.86 million and US $ 73.32 million, with the role of the three reaching 58.94 percent of total exports.

The port of loading for commodity exports from South Sumatra in December 2010 most important is the port of Boom Baru with a value of US $ 332.58 million, followed by the port of Plaju in the amount of US $ 61.68 million
