South Sumatra's export value in June 2024 reached USD 625.86 million, an increase of 24.05 percent compared to May 2024. Compared to June 2023, the export value rose by 14.11 percent.
Non-oil and gas exports in June 2024 amounted to USD 580.84 million, up 21.79 percent from May 2024. Compared to June 2023, non-oil and gas exports increased by 15.26 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value for South Sumatra from January to June 2024 was USD 2,707.63 million, a decrease of 16.58 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
In June 2024, the largest export markets were China at USD 248.20 million, India at USD 90.29 million, and South Korea at USD 47.15 million.
Cumulatively, from January to June 2024, the largest export values from South Sumatra were directed to China at USD 1,067.75 million, India at USD 349.83 million, and Malaysia at USD 231.29 million, with these three countries contributing 55.96 percent. Exports to ASEAN and the European Union accounted for 24.01 percent and 3.60 percent, respectively.
